COVID-19 Clinic Policy
This document provides a written record of the heightened infection control measures that this clinic has put in place to ensure the safety of all staff and patients during COVID-19.
We have assessed our practice for risks outlined and put in additional processes as detailed below

Undertaken a risk assessment
|
21/05/2020. To be reviewed monthly or on change of government guidance.

Heightened cleaning regimes
|
- Clinic room to be disinfected after each patient including bench, seating, desk, chairs, hard surfaces, door handles, keyboard, floor.
- Reception and bathroom cleaned at lunchtime and end of clinic session.

Increased protection measures
|
- COVID-19 screening 24 hours before treatment
- Removal of all linens from clinic
- Staff PPE
- Practitioner hand washing before and after every patient, and at least once an hour otherwise.
- Patient use of hand sanitiser
- Patient’s temperature taken before treatment
- A plastic bag to put essential items in
- Remote payments
- Gap between patients entering the building

Put in place distancing measures
|
- No longer have a waiting area
- Patients to wait outside and to then proceed directly to the treatment room
- Patient and practitioner chairs placed 2m apart from each other.

Providing remote/ telehealth consultations
|
- Telephone/video call appointments will be available where face to face is not appropriate
|
